Marsanne wine grape

The chief white grape of northern Rhône, after Viognier, is the full-bodied Marsanne, used either alone or blended with the aromatic Roussanne to produce white Hermitage and Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph and Saint-Péray. Marsanne is still the main white grape in the area, though it hasn't achieved Viognier's international fame.
