Back from the brink - Greece's great white hope

Forty-five years ago no-one knew this grape even existed.  It was growing wild over a single ruined pergola on an abandoned farm.  Now it’s grown throughout Greece and is regarded as one of the two best white varieties in the country.
Here is the definitive example of Malagousia - by the man who saved it from extinction!
Put the pouch in the fridge when it first arrives.  Serve this aromatic white moderately chilled - 9°C or 10°C.  5 or 6 minutes out of the fridge should do it.
Pair with Mediterranean-style salads, seafood, or light pasta dishes.  Or go Greek with mezze.

Serve this aromatic white moderately chilled - 9°C or 10°C.  Take the pouch out of the fridge and leave it on a chopping board for 5 minutes.  Or pour it straight into a glass and leave it rather longer - 8 to 10 minutes.
This wine loves courgettes - yes, really!  They echo the flavours in it.  So put together a mezze - it’s not every day you drink Greek wine, after all - and try to include Kolokithakia tiganita (fried courgettes) or, more ambitiously, Kolokithopita (courgette and feta in filo pastry).  Make sure you’ve got some tzatziki too.  Mint and cucumber both really suit this one.
It will also pair well with Mediterranean-style salads, seafood and light pasta dishes.  You could put courgette and mint in the latter as well.
