Channing Daughters, Rosato di Cabernet Franc

Channing Daughters, Rosato di Cabernet Franc

start spreading the news, we're drinking rosé...

…we want to taste a part of it, New York, New York!
Yes, our first ever rosé is from Long Island, home to half of the city that never sleeps.  No, they don’t have vineyards in Brooklyn but there are lots up the other end of the island, in the North Fork and the Hamptons, where rosé specialists Channing Daughters make no fewer than six different pinks.  This one is their Cabernet Franc.
Serve this delightfully dry rosé fairly well chilled but not fridge cold - 7°C to 8°C.
You don’t need any food with this… just sunshine!

Available at £15.94 per bottle

Most rosés need to be served colder than whites, but not this one.  Give the pouch a few minutes out of the fridge to warm up, or at least five minutes if you pour it straight into a glass.
This is just perfect for drinking on its own, preferably out of doors in the sunshine!  But its dryness and balance also makes it great with food.
It will particularly suit fish and shellfish, especially with Asian flavourings.  For nibbles, try it with sushi - but hold the wasabi.  For something more substantial, try Cantonese seafood dishes like prawns with ginger and spring onion.
