Cerceal Branco wine grape
Cerceal Branco (sometimes spelt Cercial) is found in Dão, Douro and Barraida, Portugal. It is often confused with the Sercial of Madeira, which is one of its parents along with Malvasia Fina.
Pale-skinned and high in acidity, it produces light-bodied, minerally wine with subtle lime and grapefruit aromas, and is usually blended with lower-acid, fuller-flavoured varieties.
