Klaus Lentsch wine producer
Klaus Lentsch comes from a long-established South Tyrolean winegrowing family. But in 2008 he struck out on his own, buying and restoring the historic Hemberghof estate in the Eisacktal valley. From these steeply-terraced vineyards comes his premium single-vineyard wines: Gewürtztraminer, Grüner Veltliner and Pinot Noir.
In 2013 he added vineyards near St. Pauls in the Überetsch region where he lives, producing his Amperg range of whites: Weissburgunder, Goldmuskateller, Gewürtztraminer, Müller-Thurgau and Pinot Grigio. Most recently he has acquired the Adlerhof vineyard a little further south at Branzoll in the lower-lying Unterland region, to produce red wine from the local Lagrein variety.
