Deep Woods Estate wine producer

Deep Woods Estate
Established in 1987 in the Yallingup Hills sub-region of Margaret River, Deep Woods Estate was acquired in 2005 by the Fogarty family, becoming part of the Fogarty Wine Group that includes the Millbrook and Smithbrook estates also in Western Australia, and the iconic Lake’s Folly, the most famous estate of the Hunter Valley.

Chief winemaker Julian Langworthy was recruited in 2011, and since then Deep Woods has racked up 25 Trophies and 70-odd Gold Medals at Australia’s highly competitive Wine Shows.  They produce a full range of whites and reds, with their Cabernet Sauvignons being particularly acclaimed as perhaps Margaret River’s best.  Julian’s talent led to his being named Winemaker of the Year 2019 by Australia’s preeminent wine critic, James Halliday.
